Dear Adriana and Adrian family,

We just wanted to thank you for with all our hearts for the kindness and care that you gave

Steven during his time with you.

We all know that it is extremely difficult to do the job that you do and we feel very fortunate to

have had your thoughtfulness sensitivity and patience bestowed upon Steven.

Additionally we all benefited from your wonderful attitudes and knowledge of life and it helped

all of us to have someone so caring to talk with.

Thank you again for making Steve’s last days as comfortable and free of pain as possible.

Fondly Susie David Michelle Jeremy and Emily

“… it is a home with warmth, love, excellent devotion to caring, and above all, a family and home you can trust.”Susan S, resident’s mother

d“I am writing this letter of recommendation for Adriana Janta. I have worked with Adriana closely for the last year. She is the caregiver of a patient of mine who is ventilator dependent and quadriplegic secondary to a rare degenerative neurological disorder. I have had almost weekly contact with Adriana by fax or phone, and she has accompanied our mutual client to all of her appointments, which average every 1-2 months. She is a nurse, and her skills have allowed us to provide excellent care for a fragile and complex patient. She is always familiar with the patient’s medications and medical problems, and her documentation is excellent. Because of her close attention and skilled care, we have successfully treated several complex medical problems in the foster home. She has demonstrated excellent clinical judgment, appropriately managing problems herself and contacting me immediately when she needs orders or advice. Often she calls me with an accurate impression and appropriate plan of treatment, and only needs my consent. She advocates for the patients, and has put extra effort into getting the patients’ medical supplies and medications even when they were delayed by insurance or supplier problems. I strongly recommend Adriana as a caring and skilled caregiver. She has shown genuine concern for our mutual client, and her attention has clearly benefited the patient. It is rare to see a foster home caregiver make such a difference in a patient’s life.” –  M. Dean D, MD OHSU Beaverton Health Center, PCP of resident

“The New Life facility is designed to accommodate all levels and care and there is plenty of room for medical equipment and personal belongings. We enjoyed the cover veranda that was attached to the patient’s rooms. The flowers and plants added beauty and warmth to the view. Adriana and staff made feel welcome and comfortable. We appreciated the extraordinary care that our mom received at New Life and we highly recommend the facility to anyone who needs special care. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.”Garry and Dee L, children of residents

d“Words cannot express my/our feelings we have for ALL of you. It takes special people to do all the many things you do each and every day with patience, care and love. It is because of ALL of you our uncle Rick’s final days were all we hoped they would be. Adriana, we thank you so much for providing such a beautiful special place for those that are placed in your care.”Barbara R, niece of resident

d“Inside the house, which is spotless clean, lovely cooking and baking odors are prevalent and very inviting. My mother was having a hard time after breaking her hip and not eating very much. Adriana tried all sorts of different foods to tempt my mother which met with some success. I was struck by Adriana’s interest and concern that she find some way to whet my mother’s appetite. The decision to move a loved one into foster care is a difficult one, but I think that if you choose Adriana as the caretaker, that huge burden of worry will be lessened significantly” Christine, daughter of resident
